INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING FOR THE THAI PASS
All non-Thai nationals must apply for a Thailand Pass (free of charge) to certify your proof of vaccination and to show a minimum health insurance requirement of US$10,000 coverage. The approximate cost of the health insurance for most travelers is approximately $18 and a package is available for purchase within the Thailand Pass Registration.
Note that no PCR or antigen test is required for travelers prior to travel or upon arrival in Thailand for those showing proof of vaccination.
1. INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS TO HAVE BEFORE STARTING THE APPLICATION
A. A. jpg or .pdf of your Passport page with your photo
B. A .jpg or .pdf of your vaccination certificate ready to upload during the application process.
C. Know the Flight Number for your travel into Thailand
D. Have address of your Hotel in Bangkok. The address of the Centara Grand Hotel is: 999, 99 Rama I Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330
2. APPLYING FOR THE THAI PASS
A. Go to https://tp.consular.go.that least 3 days before departure
B. Click “Air Travel”
C. A Pop-up appears, click “x” to close
D. Click “Begin Registration”
E. If you have not already purchased the required COVID insurance, Click “List of Recommended Insurance”
– You will then see 4 options:
– The option on the Bottom Left: “Say Hi Insurance Mini 10 for 660 THB” (approx $18) provides the necessary minimum coverage. Note that the other more expensive plans contain additional insurance beyond required minimum.
– Go through the process to purchase that plan, indicating your length of stay, arrival into Thailand and other details along with payment.
– After submitting the payment for the insurance, while you wait for the confirmation email, you can go back to the Tab with the THAI PASS registration and continue working on the application.
– You will receive a confirmation of your Insurance Certificate in your email within a few minutes. You will need to upload that Certificate into the THAI PASS registration in the appropriate section of the application.
F. Continue on to finish the Registration. You should receive the THAI PASS in your email within 2 hours
G. Print out the Insurance certificate and THAI PASS to bring to the airport in addition to keeping it available on your phone.
