Elena Estavillo, CEO, Centro-I and Member, UNESCO Women4Ethical AI (Mexico)

Elena Estavillo founded and currently leads Centro-I, a Mexico-based think tank shaping a brighter, more equitable technological future. Her experience includes serving as a former Commissioner at Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute and as a member of UNESCO's Women4 Ethical Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee and AI Experts Without Borders Network. She was also appointed as an Expert to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. An expert in catalyzing systemic change to usher in an era where AI and digital technologies benefit everyone, she was a finalist for the 2023 Women of the Year in AI North America Award.
