2018 CWDI Report on Women Board Directors of Fortune Global 200

  • From 2004 – 2018, the percentage of women board directors has increased from 10.4% in 2004 to 21.6% in 2018.
  • The Top Three countries with the highest percentage of women board directors all have legislative quotas. France (43.4%), Italy (34.8%), and Germany (32.6%)

2017 CWDI Report on Women Board Directors of Asia-Pacific Companies

  • Women are vastly underrepresented in the boardrooms of leading companies across 20 economies in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • As a result, the Asia-Pacific region trails most other regions in appointing women to corporate boards.

2016 CWDI Report on Women Board Directors of Latin America’s 100 Largest Companies, 2005-2016

  • Women hold an average of 7.3% of board seats in the 100 largest companies in Latin America.
  • In the region, Colombia has the highest percentage (16.2%).  The two largest economies in the region, Brazil and Mexico, have only 6.4% and 6.1% women directors, respectively.

2016 CWDI Report on Women Board Directors of Central and Eastern European Blue-Chip Companies

  • Women hold an average of 15.5% of board seats in 17 Central and Eastern European countries.
  • In the region, Latvia has the highest percentage (27.1%), followed by Croatia (20.1%), Bulgaria (19.7%) and Slovenia (19.3%).
