Former Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), a position she held for six years until 2012, Zarinah Anwar currently serves as the Chairman of Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad. While at the helm of the SC, she had served as Vice Chairman of the Emerging Markets Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions and served two terms as Chairman of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum, established under the auspices of the ASEAN finance ministers to discuss policy issues on ASEAN capital market development. Prior to joining the SC, she spent 22 years with the Shell Group, serving in various capacities, including as Deputy Chairman of Shell Malaysia. One of the Founding Chairs of the 30% Club Malaysia, a business campaign to help drive higher women representation in leadership positions and on corporate boards, she also serves as Chair of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM).
