Nina Angelovska, Former Minister of Finance; Founder, Grouper.mk, North Macedonia
After being an entrepreneur for 10 years, Nina Angelovska’s career path took a sharp turn when she joined the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia as Minister of Finance in 2019. In 2011, she co-founded Grouper.mk, the leading e-commerce platform in her country, which contributed to increasing online sales in Macedonia by more than 350% and educated thousands of customers and businesses on how to shop and sell online. In 2018 she was named to the “Forbes 30 Under 30” list for Europe and, in 2019, she was recognized by UNCTAD as one of seven global eTrade for Women Advocates. As Minister of Finance, she led the implementation of many economic and fiscal measures during the COVID-19 crisis until September 2020, putting digitalization and technologies as the key to addressing challenging issues.
