BIOGRAPHY

Jonina Bjartmarz served as Iceland’s Minister of the Environment and Minister of Nordic Cooperation from 2006-2007. She began her political career as a Member of Parliament (Althingi) in 2000 and served as the 2nd Vice President of the Parliament from 2003-2006. In the Parliament, she served as Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Security from 2000-2006. In 2005 and 2006, she was the Vice President of the Nordic Council. She is also the Founder and the First President of the Icelandic Association of Women Entrepreneurs. In recent years, she has operated her own travel business, IcelandEurope Travel Partnership.
