BIOGRAPHY
Daniela Weber-Rey, LL.M., is a lawyer and a member of supervisory and advisory boards in various companies and institutions. Her current focus is between Germany and France, with expertise in financial institutions, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. She spent nearly 30 years as a lawyer and partner at the international law firm Clifford Chance and its predecessor firms with various leadership roles at the German and European levels, focusing on Corporate, M&A, and the Financial Sector, and served three years as a member of the global leadership body, the Partnership Council. Subsequently, she joined Deutsche Bank AG for three years as their Chief Governance Officer, responsible for governance issues and internal structures, and partly also as Deputy Global Head of Compliance. In recent years, she has been or is currently active on supervisory/administrative boards at Fnac Darty Groupe, HSBC Germany, Franco-German University, SAFE Leibniz Institute for Financial Market Research, and the Deutsche Literaturarchiv Marbach. Previously, she was on the administrative board of BNP Paribas and for many years a member of the Government Commission on the German Corporate Governance Code and a board member of the European Corporate Governance Institute.
