BIOGRAPHY

Appointed as the Chairman of the Board and Country Holding Officer of ABB Türkiye in 2022, Başar Vural served as the Vice Chairman of the Board and CFO at ABB Türkiye from 2019 to 2022. Starting his career at ABB Türkiye in 2007 as the Country Treasurer and Financial Controller, he took on various roles at ABB Group Headquarters in Switzerland between 2011 and 2013. From 2013 to 2019, he served as the Financial Manager for ABB Türkiye’s Process Automation and Electrification business units. He began his career in 1998 as an expert in macroeconomic and industrial research department of an investment bank; he held financial management positions at DHL Türkiye and Carrefour-Dia Türkiye between 2001 and 2007. He is also a board member of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye and the International Investors Association.
