BIOGRAPHY

Mar holds a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), a Master in International Relations from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (Ottawa, Canada), an International MBA from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) and an Executive Master in Positive Leadership and Strategy from IE School of Human Sciences and Technology (Madrid,Spain).

Mar has extensive experience in strategy and business development and has held a number of positions across several industries and sectors. She began her career in international trade policy to later create her own imports company. She joined IE in January 2012 as Director of Admissions, to later become IE’s Global Head of International Business Development, leading the institution’s recruiting and business development activities through IE’s 30 representative offices around the world. Today, Mar is IE’s Vice President for Global Recruitment and Marketing, responsible for the institution’s graduate and postgraduate marketing and commercial strategy. In addition, she is a member of IE’s Board of Directors, IE’s Ethics and Inclusion Committee, and Adjunct Professor in the areas of sustainability, responsible business, and well-being.
