BIOGRAPHY

Evelyne de Gruyter has been Managing Director of the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs – Verbandes deutscher Unternehmerinnen (VdU) – since 2020. After studying business administration, she gained experience in the family-run hotel group and has been responsible for press and public relations at the association since 2016. The VdU represents the interests of more than 1,800 female entrepreneurs across all sectors with an annual turnover of 85 billion euros and 500,000 employees in Germany. Since its founding in 1954 the association has been campaigning for more female entrepreneurship, more women in management positions and better conditions for women in business and for the voice of women entrepreneurs to be heard in business, politics and society.
