GLOBAL WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP AWARD<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"viviane<\/a>Viviane Reding<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

In 2010, Viviane Reding became the first Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship. In this role, she has launched a series of ground-breaking proposals in the field of civil, commercial, consumer and criminal law, creating the basis for a European area of justice. She has pushed for legislation to increase the number of women on boards and has created the basis for a fundamental rights culture across European institutions.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0FRENCH WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP AWARD<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"nicole<\/a>Nicole Notat<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Nicole Notat was the first woman to lead a major trade union in France when she served as Secretary-General of the French Democratic Confederation of Labor (CFDT) from 1992-2002. She is also the Founder and Chairwoman of Vigeo SAS, the first European Corporate Social Responsibility rating agency.<\/em><\/p>\n

A teacher by profession, she discovered trade unionism in the late 60s, joining the CFDT and moving into leadership positions regionally before leading the national organization with 600,000 members. She has a well-earned reputation as a strong advocate for workers\u2019 rights and for being a committed leader to women\u2019s equal rights in the workplace.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Minister<\/a>French Women’s Leadership Awardee Nicole Notat with French Minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, who presented the Award.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Corporate Champions Award was presented to French companies in the CAC40 with at least 30% women board directors.<\/em><\/p>\n
