Brought together by CWDI, a Washington, DC-based organization which researches and promotes women on boards globally, this historic all-women Market Open marked the 20<sup>th<\/sup> CWDI-organized opening of stock exchanges around the world to highlight the presence of women in business leadership.<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2429\" src=\"https:\/\/globewomen.org\/CWDINet\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/globewomen.org\/CWDINet\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/globewomen.org\/CWDINet\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/globewomen.org\/CWDINet\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>\u201cI am so pleased to hold our 20<sup>th<\/sup> Market Open in Bangkok, which has a vibrant cadre of women in business,\u201d states CWDI Chair Natividad.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s important that women are seen as part of business traditions such as the ringing of the opening bell at the stock exchange. In Thailand, the number of women that hold board seats has been continuously increasing, mainly due to increasing career opportunities on top of their own capabilities. Equality is ideal but actually concrete opportunities to show their abilities are more than enough.
